Database Administrator (DBA)

This role offers a unique opportunity to manage and optimize enterprise-level databases that support mission-critical operations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The position involves long-term planning, hands-on administration, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders to ensure data integrity, security, and availability. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex database systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Ideal candidates are experienced in relational database management systems, SQL programming, and cross-platform database environments. This position allows you to directly impact operational efficiency, improve data workflows, and support large-scale organizational initiatives. Remote work is available, with potential travel to client sites as required.

Accountabilities:

·         Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise databases in client/server environments.

·         Design, implement, and maintain complex database structures including access methods, validation checks, security, and organization.

·         Conduct quality control and database audits to ensure accurate and secure data usage.

·         Advise users on database access and provide technical guidance for best practices.

·         Perform database programming, maintain database dictionaries, and support system integration.

·         Monitor standards and procedures, and contribute to long-term database administration strategies.

·         Participate in special projects and initiatives outside standard responsibilities to support organizational goals.

·         Active Secret Clearance.

·         Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience with database query languages such as Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access.

·         At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).

·         Experience administering, operating, maintaining, and securing large-scale databases across multiple projects.

·         Capability to work with various operating systems and additional programming languages.

·         Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

·         Ability to collaborate effectively in team environments and occasionally work on client sites.

·         Physical ability to perform office-based tasks including prolonged sitting, computer work, and lifting 15–25 pounds.
