This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Commercial Supply Chain Technical Writer (Contract) in United States.
This contract role offers an exciting opportunity to create clear, concise, and accurate documentation supporting complex supply chain operations. The Technical Writer will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate operational procedures, system functionalities, and regulatory requirements into user-friendly materials. By producing high-quality documentation, including SOPs, training modules, and technical data specifications, this role helps ensure smooth operations across inventory, logistics, procurement, and distribution. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to quickly understand complex processes to support operational excellence.
· Write and maintain operational procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for supply chain activities, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and quality control.
· Develop technical data specifications (TDSs) for raw materials and consumables used in manufacturing.
· Produce user manuals and documentation for supply chain management systems, explaining features and functionality for end-users.
· Create and update training materials for new employees, including presentations, e-learning modules, and hands-on exercises.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation aligns with current practices and regulatory requirements.
· Proofread and edit documents for clarity, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company style guides.
· Regularly update existing documentation to reflect process changes, system updates, or new regulatory standards.
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
· Strong understanding of supply chain concepts, including inventory management, logistics, procurement, warehousing, distribution, and transportation.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Experience working with cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure alignment across departments.
· Familiarity with authoring tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems (CMS) for document creation and version control.
· Motivated, self-directed, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
· Competitive contract pay: $70–$80/hour.
