Application Architect (Remote - US)

As an Application Architect, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-level software systems that prioritize security, scalability, performance, and resilience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, create robust architectural solutions, and guide projects from ideation to delivery. Your expertise will be key in integrating third-party tools, developing APIs, and ensuring seamless interoperability between applications. This role offers a dynamic environment where you can innovate, mentor engineering teams, and contribute to shaping the long-term technology vision.

Accountabilities:

• Define and drive the application architecture vision, ensuring alignment with key business objectives and infrastructure requirements.
• Design high-level and detailed architecture for platforms, services, and products.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and well-structured solutions.
• Investigate and recommend third-party integrations, external protocols, and interoperability strategies.
• Design and implement microservices with clearly defined APIs.
• Ensure systems have proper instrumentation, telemetry, and operational safety.
• Review code, provide constructive feedback, and mentor engineering teams.
• Own assigned software/service components from concept through deployment.
• Write clean, modular, testable, and scalable code when necessary.
• Communicate architecture decisions, roadblocks, and timelines to stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–4 years of relevant professional experience in software architecture or development.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Golang, Java, C#, or C++.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS.
• Knowledge of databases such as MongoDB and Snowflake.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies like React.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to mentor team members.

• Annual pay range: $85,300 – $158,100 (adjusted based on skills, experience, and other factors).
