Accounting Manager (Part-Time)

This role offers the opportunity to lead accounting operations for a diverse portfolio of innovative, high-growth clients. You’ll oversee full-cycle accounting processes, from month-end close to tax compliance, while delivering accurate, insightful financial reporting. The position blends strategic oversight with hands-on execution, ensuring clients have the financial clarity to drive decisions and scale confidently. Collaboration is key, with direct engagement alongside talented professionals in a supportive, growth-driven environment. You’ll also have the chance to mentor team members, contribute to process improvements, and work remotely while occasionally joining in-person company events.

Accountabilities

• Manage all aspects of accounting for multiple clients, including full-cycle month-end close, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and tax compliance.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, budget vs. actual analyses, and cash flow management reports.
• Assist in financial modeling, forecasting, and the creation of departmental budgets.
• Oversee invoicing, collections, and contract review for accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payment processes.
• Ensure accounts payable processes align with company policies and compliance requirements.
• Support client onboarding and payroll processes, including employee terminations.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve accounting efficiency and accuracy.
• Mentor and train junior team members to ensure high-quality client service.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting and finance tools such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Netsuite, Bill.com, Gusto, Expensify, and Carta.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, preferably within technology or professional services sectors.
• Excellent communication skills and strong analytical/problem-solving abilities.
• Professional integrity, high energy, and a passion for startups and early-stage growth companies.
