Principal Engineer

We’re seeking a Principal Engineer who is passionate about building world-class, personalized experiences for our customers. You will lead a team of talented engineers, drive platform thinking, and deliver multi-platform solutions (Web, iOS, Android) that meet both technical and business goals. You thrive in fast-paced environments, think in terms of customer obsession, and have a strong bias to action. Experience in compliance and finance is a plus.

What you'll be doing

Lead and Inspire: Guide a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
Customer Obsession: Champion the customer experience, ensuring our products are intuitive, accessible, and personalized
Platform Thinking: Architect, develop, and maintain scalable and resilient platforms that power our multi-channel solutions
Multi-Platform Delivery: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of solutions across Web, iOS, and Android platforms
Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, compliance, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
Ownership: Take end-to-end responsibility for the technical health, performance, and security of our products
Compliance & Finance: Ensure solutions meet regulatory and compliance standards; leverage finance experience where applicable
Quality at Speed: Focus on building high-quality solutions efficiently, balancing rapid delivery with robust, maintainable code and systems

You'll bring the following required skills and experiences

10+ years of developer experience
Technical Expertise: Deep experience with React Native, Kotlin, and microservices architecture
Leadership: Proven track record of leading engineering teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Multi-Platform Development: Strong background in building and delivering solutions for Web, iOS, and Android
Business Acumen: Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical strategy
Collaboration: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
Ownership & Accountability: Demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility for team and product outcomes
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in compliance-driven industries (e.g., finance, healthcare) & familiarity with financial services or fintech environments

$220,000 - $270,000 a year

For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Per applicable law, the salary range for this role is $220,000 - $270,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors as well as candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the identified range.

This role is also eligible for a bonus, equity, and competitive benefits.
