About the Role
The Corporate Strategy Team works directly with our CEO, CFO, business unit Presidents and other senior leaders on a range of dynamic projects to support the growth objectives of Thomson Reuters. The position of Manager, Corporate Strategy drives delivery of key strategy initiatives for the company.
The role reports into the Vice President of Corporate Strategy and will partner closely with Product, Technology, Marketing and Sales leaders across Thomson Reuters as well as other members of the Strategy team.
In this role as a Manager, Corporate Strategy you will:
Structure and drive strategy projects (or modules of large, complex initiatives), covering topics such as growth strategy, M&A, partnerships, strategic planning, and other key questions facing leadership
Play an individual delivery role in executing complex projects
Take the lead in creating deliverables and supporting communications of key findings to senior audiences, including business and functional leaders
Collaborate with and present recommendations to senior-level stakeholders
Engage externally with customers and other industry participants to maintain a pulse on industry trends, customer needs and the competitive landscape
About You
Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline required
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, including working in strategy consulting or in-house strategy teams
Preference to individuals with experience in domains related to Thomson Reuters, such as software-as-a-service and business information services, as well legal, tax, and compliance industries
Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills
Strong ability in creating narratives, visual storytelling, and synthesis of complex ideas
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle multi-tasking environments, meet deadlines, and work with colleagues across regions, markets and cultures
