Stryker’s Neurovascular Manufacturing division is seeking to hire a Staff Manufacturing Engineer in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Stryker’s Neurovascular division is focused on advancing the practice of less invasive stroke therapies through its Complete Stroke Care solutions. The business is dedicated to providing innovative stroke products and services for ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke and committed to providing clinical education and support to help physicians deliver better patient outcomes. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
You lead design efforts in collaboration with manufacturing engineering to update manufacturing equipment, workstations, and tooling that aligns with the site’s CI (Continuous Improvement) and Lean culture.
You will lead design of manufacturing technology advancements used throughout the plant making life-saving medical devices.
You will provide subject matter expertise to support commercial launch of new products into manufacturing.
You will coach engineers in equipment and Machine Design to make products to tight tolerances with demonstrated manufacturing capabilities per design intent for better patient outcomes.
You will lead efforts related to design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of controlled environment (facilities & equipment) and Machine Design.
You will lead or participate in complex cross-functional project teams for manufacturing by coordinating, managing, and documenting project goals, and recommending revisions.
You will design and coordinate complex engineering tests and experiments, analyze data, draw conclusions, and summarize test results.
You will interact with plant manufacturing leadership and corporate Advanced Manufacturing Technologies group to deliver equipment and technology improvements to manufacturing.
You will lead efficiency (cycle time), defect reduction (manufacturing loss) projects & provide subject matter expertise for manufacturing equipment and processes.
You will lead in the identification, implementation, and management of production goals.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Advanced Manufacturing Engineering/Technology or related field
4+ years related work experience
Preferred Skills:
Mechanical design & development experience including SolidWorks drawing creation
Experience with designing & developing equipment & machinery used in manufacturing processes, or testing
Experience with manufacturing equipment controls and automation
Experience with medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing
Good knowledge of GMP / FDA regulatory requirements and current Health and Safety Regulations and legislation.
