About Odys

Our mission at Odys is simple - we build safe, sustainable aircraft to cut travel time in half on the world's busiest corridors. Our flagship aircraft Alta enables travelers to skip the big-airport hassle by using city helipads and local airports to connect cities less than 1,000 miles apart (approx 40% of flights). And on average cut CO2 by 76% on tens of billions of flight miles globally.

To get there, we start with our UAV called Laila for commercial logistics, medical transport, humanitarian aid, disaster relief, and defense missions. We’re deploying aircraft with launch partners (Fiji Airways, Honeywell, Aramex, US Navy) beginning in late 2025 and already have firm orders for aircraft under contract.

We’re a team of expert engineers from deep tech and aerospace that focus on fast iterations loops (completed transition flight faster than our peers) combined with mastery of the aircraft certification process. Previously, our team developed custom drones, brought multiple automotive platforms into production, and electrified transportation vehicles that magnetically levitate, that roll, that fly. Together, we’ve been learning, developing, building, testing, and preparing for this challenge our entire lives.

We're seeking a strategic, results-driven and dynamic Director of Aircraft Sales, who will be responsible for delivering sales across the Odys portfolio of products, strengthening our presence in key markets and working with our commercial leadership to implement and drive the sales strategy.

This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing organization and shape the future of commercial UAV adoption in the short term and leading to larger regional air mobility aircraft. Reporting to the VP Business Development, you'll work closely with the leadership team to deliver industry-leading advanced air mobility solutions to customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation sales and leasing, excellent leadership skills, superior communication, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. This role requires a strategic visionary who can support customers in bringing a vision to reality, is able to identify the right customers in the right markets where Odys aircraft present a net positive opportunity to operations, and is capable of developing and executing effective sales strategies to expand our market presence and increase revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth and commercialization within the long-range UAV market.

• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new business opportunities based on market needs, technology alignment, and potential ROI.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve sales targets.

• Increase the sales pipeline and close deals to meet or exceed annual sales targets.

• Identify and research new sales opportunities, including potential customers, markets, and partnerships.

• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and product development.

• Develop and scale our commercial operations, eventually building and leading a high-performing business development team.

• Regularly prepare and present sales reports to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with company representatives, distributors, customers, and key stakeholders.

• Collaborate with wider commercial team, engineering, product support and production, to resolve customer issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, aviation, or a related field.

• 5-10 years experience in aircraft sales, with a strong understanding of the aviation industry and market dynamics.

• Proven experience in UAV sales and/or operations is extremely beneficial.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire internal and external stakeholders.

• Skilled at negotiation and comfortable drafting agreements, statements of work, and related commercial documentation.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to travel frequently and as needed.

• Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.

• Strategic, results-oriented thinker focused on achieving sales growth.

• Established network of contacts within the aviation industry.
