Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse Team Leader performs all of the job duties and responsibilities of the Registered Nurse and assists with the day-to-day supervisory duties and overall operations of their section acting as a resource and role model for the staff.  This individual demonstrates excellent clinical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and leadership skills, and makes decisions consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) policies, department protocols/guidelines, and the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.

Preferred/Optional: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

EXPERIENCE 

Minimum Required: Two years’ nursing experience in area of training. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks; strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES 

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position.  Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License Compact License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
