Role Description
Acts as strategic assistant to the CEO and CFO to ensure maximum leverage on their time, while developing Allica’s external reputation and position.
Principal Accountabilities
Frees up day to day time for CEO and CFO including through: schedule management (both internal and external meetings), the preparation of correspondence and other documentation, travel booking and expense management, and taking minutes at Executive Committee meetings and ensuring follow up on actions.
Works with CEO, CFO, and 56 Degrees North to help drive Allica’s policy agenda, maximising impact and influence with Government and policymakers.
Finds ways to give leverage to the Executive Team, depending on current priorities – for example this could include investor relations, or conducting research related to expansion opportunities.
Organises bi annual leadership events for ~100 key people at Allica, as well as organising ExCo and Finance offsite events
May act as interim cover where needed for the Company Secretary function (e.g. liaison with the Chairman and Non-Executive Directors to schedule Board meetings and plan agenda)
Promoting Allica’s culture and bringing new ideas to the team.
Liaising and working alongside Allica colleagues to ensure customer or colleague outcomes are effectively handled.
Ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, operating procedures and internal controls.
Personal Attributes & Experience
Proven experience in a similar role
Knowledge of UK government policy environment (for example working in a relevant MP’s office, policy advisor in HMT or key trade association)
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
A team player who is a good cultural fit with Allica’s values
Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, PowerPoint and MS Outlook, in particular)
