Compensation: $90 - $90 / Hourly
Project Overview:
Project Unicorn is preparing data for integration into a Tableau dashboard that will support district and vendor insights related to K-12 interoperability. Data collection occurred using Formstack in Salesforce, so a deep understanding of both tools and Tableau is required. We need a short-term contractor to accelerate data prep and ensure accurate alignment with NCES data and Salesforce exports.
Estimated Time Commitment: 15 hours over 1–2 weeks
Estimated Cost: $90/hour with proposal for 10 hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Review existing documentation and step-by-step instructions for data preparation
- Match and clean datasets using NCES identifiers (e.g., NCES District ID) Some process documentation exists
- Export relevant data from Salesforce (district and vendor records)
- Normalize and format data for Tableau ingestion
- Identify and address data inconsistencies or missing fields
- Deliver a clean, structured dataset aligned with Tableau dashboard requirements
Deliverables:
- Cleaned and merged CSV or Excel file ready for Tableau
- Solid documentation summarizing processes and any issues encountered with troubleshooting processes is captured for all
- Tableau data source connected
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with Salesforce data exports and reports
- Proficiency in Excel
- Strong Experience preparing datasets for Tableau
- Attention to detail and ability to follow structured documentation
- NCES knowledge is a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with education data and K-12 systems
- Prior experience with Salesforce nonprofit or EdTech dashboards
