Global Projects & Excellence Lead/Manager – Elastomer PU
Huntsman is seeking a Global Projects & Excellence Lead/Manager supporting the Elastomer Polyurethanes Division located in The Woodlands, Texas. This position will report to the PU Global Supply Chain Excellence Manager (and Global Elastomer Supply Chain Manager) within the Global Supply Chain Leadership Team.
The Global Projects & Excellence Lead/Manager will lead global change initiatives, transformation projects, and supply chain performance improvement efforts for the Elastomer PU business. This role will focus on standardization, operational excellence, digitalization, and cross-functional collaboration across regions. The position is responsible for aligning processes, tools, and strategies with broader business and supply chain goals while mentoring teams and engaging senior global stakeholders.
Lead and execute global transformation and supply chain improvement projects.
Focus on key operational areas: supply planning, order fulfillment, inventory, external manufacturing, and distribution.
Drive standardization across systems (e.g., SAP), customer support, new product launches, and market access.
Develop and implement digital supply chain strategies and tools.
Lead governance of Continuous Improvement & Problem-Solving frameworks.
Track, analyze, and report on key supply chain performance metrics.
Conduct process gap analysis and scenario modeling.
Identify and implement cost-reduction and efficiency initiatives.
Act as a performance transformation agent, aligning operational processes to strategic business goals.
Drive and support IT system improvements (especially SAP SD/MM, C4C).
Collaborate with third-party vendors, service providers, and internal cross-functional teams.
Mentor teams and support talent development within the supply chain organization.
Engage stakeholders through the full lifecycle of projects and post-implementation reviews.
Serve as a leader in change management and team development.
Represent Elastomers within the Global Supply Chain Excellence Organization and PMO.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
10–12 years of experience in process improvement or change management.
7+ years of multi-project management experience.
Experience in multi-site manufacturing environments with global operations.
Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP (SD, MM), C4C, and data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain management, including demand/supply planning, inventory, distribution, and optimization.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
High proficiency in interpreting and presenting data to drive decisions.
Demonstrated success in deploying process improvement and transformation initiatives.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence at all levels.
Strategic thinking with a results-driven, proactive, and collaborative mindset.
Leadership ability to guide, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams.
High level of adaptability and comfort with complexity and ambiguity.
Data-savvy and familiar with performance metrics and continuous improvement methodologies.
MBA or advanced degree in business or supply chain.
APICS/ASCM or other supply chain certifications.
Experience in the specialty chemicals industry or related manufacturing sectors.
Familiarity with change management methodologies and frameworks.
Office-based role located in The Woodlands, Texas, with periodic interaction across global time zones.
Mild travel requirement to other sites and regions as needed.
Collaborative and cross-functional work environment involving regular communication with internal departments, manufacturing plants, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
Use of digital tools and ERP systems in a fast-paced, change-driven organization.
