Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Works with IT, staff, and providers to analyze and develop reporting needs which includes design and implementation of dashboards, reports, and other various business intelligence applications. 
• Works to use data as an analytical tool, displaying the information in new forms for the purpose of analysis, exploration, prescriptive/predictive analytics and reporting.
• Provides input to the development of quality metrics
• Performs ad hoc analyses of healthcare data using SQL Server, Excel, and other tools, upon request.
• Identifies data issues and works with appropriate leaders to identify and recommend solutions.
• Participates in the development and execution of education to staff and IT.
• Responsible for supporting daily, weekly, monthly and annual reporting and analytics including the design, development, testing, documentation, maintenance, and analysis of database queries and reports.
• Responsible for development of reports and dashboards to support key initiatives for senior leadership and other leaders throughout the organization.  
• Responsible for both production and ad hoc reporting including required reports for governmental agencies such as CMS.
• Constantly works to identify opportunities for improvement in work process and reports
• Uses and analyzes large healthcare data sets and relational databases

Physical Requirements:

Qualifications

Job Requirements 

Minimum Education

• Bachelors degree in Information Services, Computer Science or related field

Minimum Work Experience

• Prefer five years experience working with Meditech reporting tools such as Report Writer, Report Designer, and Business and Clinical Analytics (BCA).
• Experience working with SQL server, Visualization tools, MS Office, and intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Excel
• Healthcare background is preferred

Required Skills

• Experience working with SQL server, Visualization tools, MS Office, and intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be detail oriented
• Responsive to feedback and is adaptable to new situations and requirements.
