Job Overview:

Mission
Own the here-to-there buildout of integrations and automations across the MedBridge+IQ stack—delivering a HIPAA-compliant, highly automated operation that enforces the Adaptive Intelligence Layer (AIL) (confidence gating, do-no-harm) and clean, observable dataflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integration fabric (Workato): Design, build, and maintain recipes that connect Alora EMR/EVV, Waystar RCM, HRS PatientConnect (RPM), TigerConnect, Zoom for Healthcare, DocuSign, HIPAA eFax, HubSpot Enterprise, EZOfficeInventory, Redox endpoints, and Google Workspace.
  • Healthcare interfaces (Redox / FHIR/HL7): Implement inbound/outbound ADT/ORU/REF messages with hospitals/clinics; manage schemas, mappings, and replay strategies; maintain PHI-safe queues/retries and dead-letter policies.
  • Event models & guardrails: Encode AIL rules (Auto ≥0.95; Review 0.80–0.94; Escalate <0.80), do-no-harm checks (no auto hour increases; pharmacist clearance for cold-chain exceptions), and human-in-the-loop approvals.
  • Data handshake & lineage: Define contract schemas for referrals, orders, notes, inventories, RPM vitals, claims; publish to BigQuery with versioned models and audit trails.
  • Referrer portal flows (HubSpot): Build minimal-PHI intake, initials-only option, 2-hour response SLA triggers, secure upload links, and status updates; pipe to TigerConnect and intake queues.
  • Inventory & cold-chain (EZOfficeInventory): Automate lot/batch tracking, replenishment thresholds, cold-chain exception alerts, and pump PM scheduling; integrate with AIL exception gating.
  • Revenue cycle automations: Trigger Waystar eligibility, scrubs, denial propensity flags, and one-click appealdraft generation via Vertex AI prompt library with audit logs.
  • Quality & surveyor mode: Implement “Surveyor Mode” notification pathways, same-day note returns, lab/result triggers; attach policy links and capture attestation artifacts.
  • Assisting Hands segregation: Support AxisCare and Viventium hooks without crossing MedBridge data; maintain strict namespace and environment isolation.

Must-have

  • 5+ years building production integrations (iPaaS or event-driven), including healthcare data standards (HL7v2, FHIR), and PHI handling.
  • Hands-on with Workato (or similar) and Redox (or equivalent interface engine).
  • Comfortable with JSON transforms, webhooks, OAuth/SAML, queue semantics, retries, idempotency keys.
  • SQL modeling in BigQuery; experience defining contracts and CDC patterns.
  • Clear documentation habits and love for audit-ready runbooks.

Nice to have

  • Python/Typescript for light glue code; Vertex AI prompt engineering and tool-use patterns; HubSpot serverless functions.

Key Performance Indicator:

Success metrics (first 90 days)

  • ≥ 70% of priority recipes live with monitoring & retries; <0.5% failed jobs/day.
  • Redox interfaces live with ack/replay; zero PHI in logs; DLQ < 0.1% messages.
  • Referral-to-intake automation meets ≤2-hour SLA alerts.
  • Inventory exceptions routed with pharmacist clearance flow; 0 cold-chain loss incidents.Denial propensity → appeal draft path live; first-pass clean claims ≥97% target tracking.

30/60/90 plan:

  • 30: Map contracts, build Workato foundations, stand up Redox connections, BigQuery landing + models, secrets & environments. 
  • 60: Ship AIL-gated flows (intake, inventory, RCM), HubSpot → queues, RPM vitals ingestion, Looker basics. 
  • 90: Harden runbooks, failover drills, coverage dashboards, and handoff procedures; backlog groomed for P1/P2.
