What You Will Be Doing:
You will lead the development of high-voltage circuit designs and hardware systems for Helion’s fusion devices. Your primary responsibility will be to grow and lead a high-performing electrical engineering team by providing mentorship, modeling technical excellence, and driving execution speed. You will solve complex engineering challenges that directly impact machine performance and help deliver clean, low-cost, reliable electricity to the world. You will report to the Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering and this is an onsite role located at our Everett, WA office.
You Will:
Grow and mentor a team of multidisciplinary electrical engineers
Oversee design of machine architecture, pulsed power circuits, grid-interfacing systems, and circuit modeling including plasma coupling
Drive schedule ownership and optimization across the team to accelerate milestone achievement
Lead design, analysis, and process improvements to increase engineering throughput
Collaborate with Research, Mechanical, and Production teams to derive system requirements and meet program goals
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
7+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years in a technical leadership or management role
Proven ability to grow engineers and positively impact their career progression
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams with full project ownership
Demonstrated success managing complex engineering projects with schedule accountability
Hands-on experience across multiple engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing
Ability to apply first-principles thinking to solve complex technical problems
