The Data Processing Manager is a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing the execution, performance, and continuous improvement of KinaTrax’s Data Processing team. This role owns team structure, delivery accountability, and stakeholder communication, while driving scale through efficiency, automation, and cross-functional alignment. The Manager plays a critical role in building a high-performing team culture that meets the demanding data delivery needs of professional sports organizations.
Team Leadership & Development
Manage a growing team of Data Processing Assistants, Coordinators, Supervisors, and Leads
Set team expectations, performance goals, and professional development plans
Support hiring, onboarding, and long-term team capacity planning
Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-accountability culture
Operational Strategy & Oversight
Define and evolve operational processes to ensure consistent, high-quality data delivery
Monitor throughput, turnaround time, and accuracy to track team performance
Partner with Development, TechOps, and Field Service teams to plan and implement tooling or process changes
Lead implementation of new workflows, tools, or rollouts across the data processing team
Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
Own operational performance reporting for internal stakeholders and leadership
Act as the escalation point for complex data delivery issues or client-impacting problems
Communicate with client success and field teams to align expectations and delivery standards
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Evaluate data delivery trends and root causes of failure to guide improvements
Identify opportunities to automate workflows and reduce manual effort
Ensure knowledge documentation is up to date and aligned across shifts
Implement QA and audit checkpoints to ensure long-term quality and reliability
5+ years of experience in operations, technical delivery, or team leadership roles
Experience managing or leading technical teams in a high-throughput or client-facing environment
Strong understanding of data workflows, QA, or motion capture processes
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret KPIs and drive decisions based on metrics
Experience working cross-functionally with product, development, or support teams
Proven ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on team management
Background in sports tech, biomechanics, or motion capture
Familiarity with tooling or automation for data QA or visualization
Experience with remote team management and asynchronous communication
Understanding of cloud storage, version control, or scripting (e.g., JSON/XML)
