RN or LPN - Employee Health - FT Days

Under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, plans and administers professional nursing care to team members of the healthcare system.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform acts that are within the scope of practice as defined by the applicable licensing board.

• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients as described in unit/department-based competencies, policies, and procedures.

• Provide treatments or administer medications and vaccinations as needed.

• Compile reports and records related to injury or illness caused by adverse working conditions.

• Develop program protocols and procedures and serves as a liaison between practitioners and both internal and external stakeholders.

• Complete timely and accurate documentation as per Health System/affiliate policy.

• Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.

• Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).

• Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

• Graduate of accredited LPN program.

Required License/Certifications/Registrations

• Current BLS/CPR card from approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first.

• Licensed Practical Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing or a compact state.
