- 15+ years of professional Windows kernel development experience
- Proven history of shipping production-quality Windows drivers (file system, networking, security)
- Advanced C++ skills in kernel-mode and user-mode (multithreading, synchronization, lock-free programming)
- Expert debugging skills (WinDbg, KD, crash dump analysis)
- Deep knowledge of NT internals, Win32 APIs, IRQL, and OS-level performance tuning
- Experience designing for stability, security, and performance in security-critical environments
- Strong written and verbal communication and mentoring ability
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize Windows kernel-mode components that prevent, detect, and respond to ransomware.
- Develop secure, high-performance Windows drivers (file system mini-filters, network callouts, process/thread monitoring).
- Investigate and resolve complex kernel issues including race conditions, memory corruption, and stability problems.
- Perform crash dump analysis and advanced debugging using WinDbg and KD.
- Define technical direction and architecture for Windows agent kernel components, balancing security and performance.
- Mentor and guide engineers on kernel-mode best practices, secure coding, and driver lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with product, security, and senior engineering teams to translate requirements into kernel solutions.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience (degree not required if equivalent experience exists)
