Skills
- Proven application penetration testing experience using manual and automated techniques
- Strong code review experience across modern programming languages
- Software engineering background, ideally full-stack development experience
- Scripting and automation proficiency in one or more languages
- Solid understanding of OWASP Top 10, threat modeling, and secure SDLC practices
- Experience validating vulnerabilities and working with tools like Burp Suite
- Ability to communicate findings clearly in writing and verbally
- Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows
Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated penetration tests of web, mobile, and thick-client applications and supporting infrastructure
- Conduct advanced code security reviews with development teams across Java, JavaScript, C++, Python and other languages
- Integrate security practices into the SDLC, including threat modeling and secure coding guidance
- Automate testing and validation through scripting and security tooling
- Triage, document, and communicate vulnerabilities and remediation steps to engineering and stakeholders
- Build and operate security tools within CI/CD pipelines and validate automated scans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize fixes and verify remediation
- Produce clear technical reports and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of security engineering experience in the Information Security industry
