Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include conducting mixed methods research to inform growth strategies, synthesizing research findings, monitoring key metrics, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration to drive business impact.
Skills: Candidates should possess expertise in user experience research, data manipulation via programming languages (e.g., R, SQL), advanced statistical analysis, and excellent communication skills to present findings effectively.
Qualifications: A bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 2+ years, or a PhD with 1+ year is required. Experience in growth strategies and mentoring research teams is also preferred.
Location: This position is hybrid, based in San Francisco, with flexibility for remote work.
Compensation: $200000 - $275000 / Annually

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a mixed methods researcher to join our UX and Marketing Research team. This role will focus on driving research within Grammarly’s Growth team, delivering insights that drive growth across the user journey, such as acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization efforts.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams—Product, Design, Data Science, and Marketing—to identify critical business questions, apply rigorous methodological approaches, and synthesize insights that inform strategic decisions. Using various techniques, you’ll uncover actionable insights about current and potential Grammarly users. You will also foster a culture of human-centered, data-driven decision-making, helping to guide our evolution as a leader in AI-assisted communication.

Grammarly takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations.
Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future.
Zone 1: $200,000 – $275,000/year (USD)
