About this role:
As the Community Lead, you’ll spearhead GPTZero’s strategic community initiatives, including our Teacher Ambassador Program, Educator Advisory Board, and Student Advisory Board. You’ll lead the growth, engagement, and retention of these communities, amplifying GPTZero’s impact in AI education and literacy.

What You'll Do:

  • Scale our educator ambassador network from 130+ active educators to a robust, nationwide community.

  • Empower educators to become leaders in AI literacy by training them to host their own workshops, webinars, and educational sessions.

  • Build a scalable infrastructure to ensure sustainable, organic growth and engagement.

  • Manage and expand our Educator Advisory Board, ensuring continuous product feedback and meaningful insights from teachers.

  • Synthesize educator feedback into actionable insights for our product team to enhance GPTZero’s educational value and adoption.

  • Manage and expand the Student Advisory Board, capturing valuable student insights and feedback to shape GPTZero’s product direction and messaging.

  • Foster an active, engaged community of student advocates and ambassadors who amplify GPTZero’s presence on campuses nationwide.

Who You Are:

  • You have 1+ years of experience in community management, growth, or education-related roles, ideally in early-stage startups or education-focused organizations.

  • You’re skilled at building vibrant communities, creating engaging content, and driving genuine user advocacy.

  • You thrive in collaborative environments and effectively partner with product, marketing, and leadership teams.

  • You possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling you to authentically engage and inspire diverse audiences.

  • You’re data-driven and can leverage metrics to optimize community growth and engagement.

  • You have an ownership mentality, you move fast and are willing to get your hands dirty. You thrive in 0-to-1 environments.

Bonus Points if You Have:

  • Experience scaling educator or student ambassador programs, especially within educational technology or AI literacy.

  • Hands-on experience organizing impactful events, webinars, or educational workshops.

  • Proven ability to influence product development through community-driven feedback and insights.

  • Have experience running socials, from owning the strategy, to planning and executing daily content (including short-form video) to drive consistent audience growth, engagement, and virality.
