- Proven experience in SCM migration, cloud architecture, DevOps engineering, and CI/CD consulting
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure and application deployments
- Deep familiarity with GitLab platform features, administration, and reference architectures
- Experience with enterprise-level software development and platform design
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and stakeholder influencing skills
- Customer-facing consultancy experience and ability to run technical discovery workshops
- Scripting and automation skills for integration and migration tasks
Responsibilities
- Design high-level architectures and technical deliverables for Professional Services projects to meet customer expectations
- Lead technical discovery sessions and translate business goals into task-level SOW requirements
- Drive deployments to customer on-prem and cloud providers using Terraform and Ansible via the GitLab Environment Toolkit
- Plan and execute migrations to GitLab using Congregate and other migration tooling
- Provide DevOps and DevSecOps consulting using internal frameworks (DGF, GitLab Flow) and industry best practices
- Coordinate and oversee implementation activities across internal and partner consultants, developers, and customer POCs
- Mentor PS and partner consultants through documentation, delivery kits, training, and enablement sessions
- Support Engagement Managers in scoping and SOW creation and assist Regional Delivery Managers with technical vetting and staffing assessments
- Stay current with GitLab product releases and disseminate relevant information to the Professional Services team
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Relevant cloud certification(s) (AWS, Azure, GCP) or infrastructure/DevOps certifications are a plus
- Continued professional development in DevOps, cloud, and security best practices
