Job Title: Classroom Assistant (K-8)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Assistant to support teachers and enhance the learning experience for students in grades K-8. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and committed to fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and classroom activities
- Support students with their learning and provide individualized attention as needed
- Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment
- Monitor student behavior and promote positive interactions among peers
- Assist with classroom management and implement teacher-led activities
- Provide support during assessments and help with grading assignments
- Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents regarding student progress
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in education or child development is a plus
- Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology
- Ability to adapt to various learning styles and needs
