General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer - Control Account Manager. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
This role is responsible for planning, monitoring, and organizing engineering resources required to design, procure, build, test and document new developments and modification to existing products. This position will have ownership over the EVM process and will be the manager of the control accounts that fund program execution.
The Sr Advanced Systems Engineer supplements the existing leadership team including DPME and IPT leads. He/She will focus on cross-functional handovers through collecting/tracking metrics or other artifacts and ensuring tasking is correctly reflected and accomplished in the IMS (including risk mitigation). He/She meets with the IPT leads to review status of these handovers to ensure they are on track and any issues are understood in advance. The IPT’s are focused on their product in conjunction with the Advanced Systems Engineer to ensure an understanding of upstream and downstream needs, impacts and dependencies.
