Job Description

1. Can you tell us about a time when you had to adjust a conveyor design to accommodate field interferences? What was the challenge, and what steps did you take to resolve the issue?

2. Talk about a project where you had to manage multiple elements, like scope, budget, and schedule. How did you ensure customer needs were met throughout the project’s life cycle?

3. Do you have experience working with engineers from different disciplines (electrical, software, etc) to develop a material handling solution? How do you ensure effective communication and collaboration?

4. Can you describe a situation where you uncovered a problem during execution and had to make design changes? How did you approach this and what was the result?

5. How do you approach the creation and verification of conveyor layouts, and what challenges have you encountered during this process?

6. Can you share an example of how you foster an inclusive culture within a team environment while ensuring high levels of project engagement and retention?

•  Mechanical Engineer Level III

•  Mission: Assist engineering teams in preparing mechanical lay outs, equipment distribution, performs equipment selection, defines bill of materials and product models configurations, also performing materials ordering following project plans and schedules on medium and high complexity projects, under supervision.

•  Performs mechanical design activities under the supervision of mechanical engineering lead in all types of projects sizes and complexities, efficiently, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Also performs (on a lower degree) on-site commissioning ensuring equipment’s distribution within the building as well as appropriate flow of the process.

Main Accountabilities:

1. Technical contribution

Prepares mechanical engineering drawings in collaboration with engineering specialists using CAD system. Prepares lay outs integrating several levels for material handling flow. On a lower degree, provides support during site commissioning ensuring equipment’s distribution and performance. Supports continuous improvement of project process/product/ system design via provision of lessons learned feedback.

2. Planning and control

Delivers in house assignments as per the agreed timeline and set quality standards for 2D/3D CAD work. Follows work plans and cost estimates for work within project budgets, troubleshooting and support activities.

3. Processes and tools

Ensures accurate application and implementation of standard design practices and tools in preparing accurate drawings and 3D modeling. Uses standard processes and procedures to ensure all layout and equipment selection activities comply with projects specifications to satisfy contractual requirements. Reports processes and tools inefficiencies and suggests improvements ideas.

4.-Risk and opportunity

Supports in conducting risk and opportunity assessments during site commissioning phase and in handling technical risks by following mitigation guidelines during equipment’s distribution phases.

5. Customer

Interacts with internal customer on scheduled project reviews as well as with external customers and support them on requests.

6. Industrial Experience

8+ years of industrial experience.
