COFAP - Digital Film Assistant (FWS/NFWS)

Purpose within the Organization:

The purpose of this position is to assist the College of Fine Arts and Production with digital film related duties.

Responsibilities Related to Purpose:

  • Checking digital film and lighting equipment in and out to students registered in DFP courses.
  • Maintaining database of equipment history as well as student check-out history.
  • Maintaining computers in 46-105 (installing updates, clearing hard drives).
  • Assisting with DFP faculty.
  • Certifying students on specific equipment.
  • Maintaining 46-102 and 46-105 Labs.

Qualifications:  

  • Must be reliable and hardworking.
  • Must be a Digital Film student who has already taken DFP-111.
  • Available on Monday, Wednesday, Friday AM and/or PM for equipment check-in/check-out hours.
  • Able to carry 25 pounds.

Education:

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy.
Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program. 
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements. 

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
