Skills
- Proficiency building backend systems in Golang (or comparable languages)
- Distributed system design for performance and reliability
- API design and implementation for internal and external services
- Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure-as-code (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
- Relational and NoSQL database experience (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB)
- Familiarity with payments, fraud prevention, and PSP integrations
- Observability, testing, and CI/CD best practices
- Familiarity with OIDC/SSO and authentication flows
- Interest or experience in applying AI tools to engineering workflows
Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance Golang microservices for checkout, account management, and fraud mitigation
- Own backend components and features, ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability
- Build, test, monitor, and maintain critical integrations and infrastructure
- Develop and support robust internal and external APIs with low-latency requirements
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data to align technical solutions with business goals
- Participate in code reviews, share knowledge, and uphold engineering best practices
- Drive projects from implementation to production with a focus on operational readiness
- Improve system performance, observability, and CI/CD workflows
- Explore and help implement AI-powered capabilities and agentic tools in workflows
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Relevant industry experience totaling 5+ years in software engineering
