Member of Technical Staff

About the Role

We’re hiring a Member of Technical Staff — someone who thrives in the unknown, moves fast, and can architect, prototype, or scale systems depending on the day. You might be a former technical founder, a platform specialist who loves building leverage for others, or someone who excels at bringing zero-to-one ideas to life.

This isn’t a product engineering role per se, it’s for someone who wants to shape how we build and what’s possible, whether that means exploring new tech stacks, optimizing infra, or prototyping weird but brilliant ideas. You’ll be a key contributor in shaping our technical foundation, supporting other engineers, and unlocking velocity for the entire team.

Responsibilities

• Own critical infrastructure and technical architecture decisions

• Prototype new ideas, tools, and internal systems — often with no roadmap

• Identify bottlenecks in our stack and build systems that multiply team productivity

• Partner with engineers, researchers, and product leads to explore and test new capabilities

• Contribute to defining engineering best practices and technical direction

You might be a fit if

• You’ve been a technical founder, staff engineer, or platform/infrastructure lead in fast-paced environments

• You’ve built or contributed to open source dev tools with real-world adoption

• You care deeply about developer experience and have a track record of creating tools other engineers love

• You think in systems and love building high quality infrastructure that enables others to build faster and better
