Skills
- 5+ years security engineering supporting SaaS, IaaS, and enterprise environments
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, DLP, advanced email security, and identity threat protection
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience building or extending security tools using languages like JavaScript, Python, or Ruby
- Strong understanding of network security, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and cloud security
- Familiarity with SAML, OAuth, TLS, encryption and modern authentication protocols
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Evangelize security best practices across engineering and IT teams
- Manage and improve SIEM, EDR, and centralized log management systems
- Develop and fine-tune threat detection rules and incident response playbooks
- Conduct application reviews, threat modeling, and design compensating controls
- Act as escalation point for security incidents and investigations
- Automate security monitoring, detection, and remediation using scripting and tools
- Collaborate with stakeholders to remediate vulnerabilities and drive secure architectures
- Support audits, risk assessments, and alignment with regulatory frameworks
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, OSCP, or CEH preferred
