- Proven assay development and commercialization in molecular diagnostics
- Deep knowledge of RNA and/or protein biomarker detection
- Experience with liquid biopsy and extracellular vesicle (EV) technologies
- Designing high‑throughput and multi‑modal molecular workflows
- Regulatory and quality systems familiarity (CLIA/LDT/IVD concepts)
- Strong cross‑functional leadership and team building
- Ability to prioritize technical investments by clinical and business value
- Experience working in early‑stage, fast‑moving biotech environments
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for FL103’s diagnostic assay platform
- Lead cross‑disciplinary integration of EV biology, molecular profiling, and assay engineering
- Develop robust, scalable workflows for sample processing, signal detection, and readout generation
- Drive assay development across molecular modalities (RNA, protein, etc.) and implement optimization pipelines
- Ensure quality, reproducibility, and anticipate regulatory and clinical validation requirements
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a high‑performing scientific and technical team
- Manage external partnerships with CROs, technology partners, and academic collaborators
- Align technical priorities with founders, Flagship leadership, and business functions
Education
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, or related field (preferred)
- Advanced degree with significant industry experience considered
