Our Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Corrosion Engineer for our Materials & Corrosion Engineering Practice in Atlanta, GA.  In this role you will work as part of a team to conduct materials and mechanical failure analyses.      

You will be responsible for

• Conducting hands-on failure analysis
• Planning and executing laboratory tests
• Performing field inspections
• Conducting SEM operation, metallurgical analysis and testing
• Communicating effectively with other engineers and technicians, managers, clients, and administrative staff

You will have the following skills and qualifications

• Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering or Metallurgy/Metallurgical Engineering, or related field, with specific emphasis on corrosion mechanisms and/or corrosion prevention  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work within project teams with a strong desire to contribute
• Specialized knowledge and experience of corrosion science with a strong background in electrochemical techniques is required
• AMPP certification (e.g., CIP1 or CP1) is desirable but not required
• Specialized knowledge and experience in failure analysis and coating technology is desire
• Presently legally authorized to work in the US, no immigration sponsorship or visa processing required
