Location: Frederick, MD or Herndon, VA preferred (Hybrid)

About the role:
We are looking for a junior to mid-level engineer that is energetic, hardworking, and enjoys being part of a team. As a member of our growing team you will help design and develop technology solutions that are scalable, relevant, and critical to our company’s success. If you have an interest in cybersecurity and creatively using your skills then this is the development role for you.
You will be working in an Agile, remote environment, and contributing with your ideas, code, and testing skills.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Creating top-notch Case Management software for Cyber Security pros.
- Collaborating remotely with a team of software engineers, product managers, and QA folks to design and deliver awesome software.
- Coming up with, designing, and integrating new features into Everfox products.
- Working with the quality assurance team to troubleshoot and fix bugs.
- Making sure our products meet all requirements and perform to the high standards our customers expect.
- This involves both manual testing and creating automated tests.
- Engaging with customers to solve product support issues, either directly or indirectly.
What We're Looking For in Experience, Knowledge, and Capabilities:
- You must be a eligible for a security clearance.
- You love the challenge of learning new systems and technologies.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in web development.
- Skilled in at least one object-oriented language, preferably PHP (extra points if you know more
- than one!).
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Knowledge of agile development methods.
- Understanding relational databases.
- You're detail-oriented, reliable, trustworthy, and have a positive, can-do attitude.
- Strong analytical and communication skills are key since teamwork is essential. These are not required but they are great if you have.
- Experience with code repository tools like GitHub or GitLab.
- Developing Java Servlets.
- Experience with ElasticSearch.
- Experience developing in a Linux environment.
- Worked on a team with 3 or more developers before.
- Some knowledge of message queueing systems like RabbitMQ.
- Background in PostgreSQL databases.
- Experience with the Playwright testing framework.
Nice to have but not required:
- Experience with code repository tools like GitHub or GitLab.
- Developing Java Servlets.
- Experience with ElasticSearch.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:
$119,600.00-143,999.00 USDThe actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, a 401k match, and contribution to healthcare coverages.
