The Role:
Our site in Billerica, MA is seeking a/an Industrial Engineering Intern to join our team for the Summer 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 12-14 weeks in duration.
As an Industrial Engineer Intern at Entegris, you will support initiatives to optimize manufacturing and materials processes within a high-tech production environment. You'll have an opportunity to work alongside Industrial Engineers, Operations managers, and Process Engineers to support projects of high importance.
What You’ll Do:
• Evaluate current processes and identify improvements opportunities.
• Conduct time studies and develop capacity models for critical equipment and processes.
• Support weekly Gemba walks and improve our SOPs.
• Assist with maintaining and updating master data in SAP
• Participate in projects aimed at reducing cycle time, scrap and improving productivity.
What We Seek:
• Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data driven mindset.
• Ability to adapt to different team dynamics and cultures.
• Good communication, organization and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with IE concepts and process improvements tools (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.
• Committed to working onsite up to 3 months.
Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:
• Student must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field with junior level status at a minimum.
• Graduation date of December 2026 / May 2027
Eligibility

• Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in mid-May/June through August/September.

Compensation: $25-$30/per hour range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
