- Proven engineering leadership and team-building experience
- Strong technical foundation in at least one: TypeScript/Node.js, Java/Kotlin, or Ruby on Rails
- Experience with AWS and observability tools (Datadog)
- Track record delivering complex projects with high quality and on schedule
- Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team focused on group booking post-booking experiences.
- Manage end-to-end development lifecycle: planning, delivery, technical design, quality, and budget adherence.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, ops, and partnerships to align technical initiatives with business objectives.
- Implement and refine agile practices, metrics, and workflows to improve team efficiency and delivery predictability.
- Drive technical direction, architecture discussions, and introduce tools/technologies to improve scalability and reliability.
- Serve as the primary engineering liaison to stakeholders, translating technical tradeoffs into business impact.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required
- Master’s degree preferred
