Job Description

Hotwire Internship Program - 16 Weeks - 40 Hours Per Week, Monday-Friday

This hybrid role is open to:

  • Our office location in San Francisco 
  • Team members to be in the office at least once per week on “Anchor Days” and as needed, dictated by business, team or client needs.

About you…

You are ready to bring fresh perspectives to our client services teams. You enjoy diving right into helping your teams to execute existing client campaigns. You have the ability to execute your multi-tasking skills to juggle a variety of tasks and projects across different tech industries. Your continued passion for learning drives you to become an industry expert for the accounts you support, serving as an advisor to your teams and clients.

As an intern, you'll apply your excellent organizational and time management skills to keep everyone informed on client, competitor, and industry news. You'll be the central hub of information, assisting in managing projects from start to finish and discovering editorial and social media opportunities. This role will provide you with a solid understanding of what it takes to succeed in the fast-paced, high-tech agency.

We are looking for an exceptional person to join our North America team as a Public Relations Intern.

The Hotwire Internship program is designed to be hands-on, fast-paced and interactive. You will be exposed to real client and agency work. We are looking for curious, driven, creative individuals who are looking to build a solid foundation for their career. Our internship role requires a passion for learning, great attention to detail and determination. We’ll give you a running start with a thorough on-boarding program and we’ll back this up with ongoing tailored training sessions. Your manager will be there to guide and support you. You’ll juggle a varied workload, engaging with multiple teams or clients.

Daily, you will:

  • Research and implement forward-thinking strategies, staying on top of AI, tech trends, and media developments.
  • Effectively manage competing priorities and executing tasks with precision and efficiency.
  • Create and maintain databases for media, events, awards, and editorials.
  • Conduct research projects for team members and communicate your findings.
  • Produce client documents for media and analyst tours, as well as other events like speaking opportunities.
  • Participate in media campaigns and product launches, including press outreach.
  • Provide general support for agency projects, such as social media posts and new business research.
  • Bring proactive ideas and opportunities to the team to advance your client's objectives.
  • Gain an understanding of a client's market by reading relevant industry publications and reporting any significant findings to the team.
  • Actively participate in company related activities and events

Compensation: $22.00 an hour, regardless of location

Qualifications

You’ll Bring:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – having an opinion is a must!
  • Sound problem solving and decision making skills
  • Proficiency with general office tools and platforms such as the Microsoft Suite, Slack and Media Tools
  • An interest in Tech Public Relations
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and industry trends.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a creative mindset.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • A passion for continuous learning and professional development.
  • Skills in managing competing priorities and knowing how to execute and prioritize tasks effectively.
