Lead Software Engineer

Lead Software Engineer is an intermediate technical leadership role responsible for helping the team set the tone with following the approved architecture and producing solutions and design considerations for the development, maintenance, and improvement of software applications. The role will also establish best practices in software development, coding, code-review, testing, and problem-solving. This role will be expected to deliver complex pieces of deliverables for a project.

What you will do:

  • Understand the end-to-end technical flow of the project
  • Collaborate with the business and architects to understand, suggest, and follow best practices and implement solutions
  • Influence technical solutions by sharing knowledge and brainstorming within the team
  • Help the team to move forward with the technical problem-solving skills
  • Assist in code review and enforce standard practices within the team
  • Continuously learn and adapt to recent technologies and development practices
  • Go-to person for trying out innovative solutions or conducting proof-of-concepts

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of professional experience and/or training required
  • 5+ years of experience in software development with backend technologies: Java (Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch)
  • Experienced in working in a full-stack environment with exposure to front end technologies including: JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular and React
  • Experience building highly scalable web applications
  • Experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, batch, RDS, Elasticache.
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and practices
  • Strong knowledge on industry best practices on technical and architectural practices
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and technical influencing skills

What will set you apart:

  • Relevant project experience of working in complex environments preferred
  • Project experience in working on Agile full-stack teams delivering multiple projects preferred

Base Salary Range

$111,800.00 - $162,125.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
