  • Collaborate on development and optimization of imaging instrumentation and workflows.
  • Perform tissue preparation, imaging, and data acquisition on fresh and fixed samples.
  • Work closely with pathologists, surgeons, and computational scientists to validate imaging technologies for diagnostic and research use.

  • Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues.
  • Additional qualifications as specified by the Principal Investigator.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with optical design, image processing, or instrument prototyping.
  • Programming skills in MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW for data analysis and system control.
  • Experience with AI or machine learning in imaging is a bonus but not required.
  • Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Optical Sciences, Bioengineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience with microscopy systems (confocal, widefield, fluorescence, or custom-built).
  • Experience in tissue handling, histological techniques, or pathology workflows is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills and a track record of scientific productivity.
