Senior Cloud Network Engineer
Skills
- Deep AWS networking experience (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect)
- Hands-on with IaC: Terraform and/or CloudFormation
- Experience with routing and protocols (BGP), and vendors (Palo Alto, Cisco)
- Cloud networking security best practices and logging/monitoring (VPC Flow Logs, load balancer logs)
- Client-facing delivery and project governance experience
- Ability to operate on Eastern Standard Time and support multi-region customers
- Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and time management
Responsibilities
- Design and implement AWS networking (VPCs, subnets, security groups, NACLs) for development, pre-prod, and production environments
- Deploy and configure AWS Transit Gateways, VPC peering, and interconnect technologies (e.g., Direct Connect) and integrate with on-prem firewalls/routers
- Use Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) to build repeatable cloud network architectures
- Configure and enable visibility (VPC Flow Logs, ELB logging) and tagging for cost and operational analysis
- Support on-premises-to-AWS migrations, develop migration plans, and validate hybrid connectivity
- Collaborate daily with delivery team members, hold technical discussions, and provide transparent, responsive communication
- Follow project governance, submit time daily, and support client-facing project management activities
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field OR equivalent professional experience
- Relevant networking or cloud certifications (AWS Networking Specialty, CCNA/CCNP, PCNSE, PCCSE) preferred
