EMS Instructor
Hourly Rate: $37.87/hour
Edison State Community College invites qualified candidates to apply for the temporary/part-time position of EMS Instructor. Part-time instructors are those persons employed to provide instruction during the academic year dependent on the teaching needs of the College.

Examples of Duties:
- Provide instruction and conduct classes in accordance with the philosophy of the college and within the scope of a defined course of study.
- Help students with coursework.
- Meet all administrative time lines and complete the submission of required documents and reports.
- Perform such other related duties as the appropriate dean or the chief academic officer may assign for the good of the College.
- Prepare, distribute, and submit syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies.
- Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote student learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Submit final grades and all other required documents and reports according to established deadlines.
- Utilize college learning management system (Blackboard) to create course content website.
- Can participate in professional development activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be state certified as an EMT in the state of Ohio, or
- Must be state certified as a paramedic in the state of Ohio.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Paramedic certification is preferred.
- EMS instructor certification preferred.
Supplemental Information:
Teaching experience at a community college is desirable.

This is a temporary/miscellaneous position which serves at Edison State's Troy Campus location.

- Edison State Community College participates in the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS).
- Based upon the Ohio Revised Code, 14% of an Edison State employee's gross salary is deposited into their individual STRS account. The college contributes an additional 14% which is not figured into the employee's base salary.
