Skills
- Proficiency in Python, R, or Scala
- Familiarity with ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Experience with big data tools (Spark, Hadoop, Hive)
- Strong SQL skills for querying and data wrangling
- Experience deploying models on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with A/B testing, experimentation design, and causal inference
- Strong statistical background and applied analytics skills
- Experience with data visualization and communicating findings to stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for use cases such as segmentation, recommendations, fraud detection, and predictive analytics
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends and surface actionable insights from structured and unstructured data
- Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques including time series analysis, clustering, regression, and deep learning
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to translate needs into data-driven solutions and production features
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists on best practices for model development, testing, and deployment
- Work with data engineers to build and optimize robust, scalable data pipelines and model-serving infrastructure
- Create clear visualizations and presentations to communicate complex results to non-technical stakeholders
- Research and integrate emerging techniques in ML/AI to continually improve models and processes
- Contribute to strategic decision-making by turning data insights into business recommendations
Education
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
