Job Purpose:

We are seeking a seasoned Internet/Web Architect with a strong background in multi-platform IT environments. This individual will lead the planning and implementation of web-based architecture strategies to support organizational business goals. The architect will be the primary liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, responsible for ensuring reliable, scalable, and efficient web solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate business requirements into effective Internet, Intranet, and Extranet architectures.
• Design and implement comprehensive web solutions either independently or as part of a collaborative team.
• Document architectural decisions, assumptions, performance metrics, and technical specifications.
• Ensure optimal communication between client-side and server-side systems.
• Oversee the setup and administration of web infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business and technical standards.
• Work on projects involving significant digital presence or business impact such as e-commerce or customer-facing portals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or four years of relevant experience in lieu of education.
• Minimum of 5 years of IT experience in areas such as architecture design, software development, systems integration, and database management.
• Proven ability to lead or contribute to multiple projects, often serving as a technical subject matter expert.
• Experience working on medium to high-complexity systems spanning several technology areas and business processes.
• Skilled in mentoring junior staff and promoting technical growth within teams.
• Must be eligible to pass a Level II Background Check.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in modernizing legacy systems and leading enterprise-level digital transformation projects.
• Experience with hybrid architecture solutions involving on-prem, cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), and SaaS/COTS platforms.
• Proficiency in SDLC methodologies, especially Waterfall.
• Expertise in web development frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue, and backend platforms like Node.js, .NET, or Java.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, HTML, CSS, and cross-platform integration strategies.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, secure architecture design, and interoperability frameworks.
• Ability to design target architectures, develop transition plans, and manage system interface strategies.
• Experience evaluating SaaS/COTS tools and integrating them into enterprise systems.
• Proven skills in reducing technical debt and rationalizing existing applications.
• Capable of aligning architecture across teams, mentoring developers, and enforcing architectural standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Prior experience managing vendors and evaluating third-party technology solutions.
