About the role
We are looking for a SAP Database and Workflow Architect to lead a transformation of enterprise ERP. You’ll assess and document and challenge current an existing large SAP/HANA database design and r custom workflows, then reimagine them by introducing Generative AI and Agentic AI-driven orchestration. If you bring deep SAP expertise, thrive on complex ERP migrations, and are eager to modernize legacy platforms into intelligent, AI-augmented systems, the role is designed for you.

Partnering with AI and business leaders to define the blueprint for next generation enterprise operations.
What You’ll Do
Database Architecture Mapping
Evaluate and map existing SAP HANA database schemas, custom workflows, data models and linkages to third party systems
Categorize enterprise data in terms of entity relationships and models
Define and drive architectural designs for modernization and a new Agentic workflow and ERP stack
Workflow Engineering
Build custom SAP workflows that go beyond standard SAP capabilities.
Integrate with external orchestration layers and APIs to enable advanced automation.
Design workflows that bridge ERP modernization with AI orchestration.
ERP Migration & Integration
Minimize business disruption through precise migration planning
Align technical execution with business process re-engineering
AI-Driven Process Modernization
Build architectural roadmaps for GenAI and Agentic AI to perform equivalent to existing customized SAP workflows.
Collaborate with AI engineering teams to integrate LLMs and AI agents for decision-making and orchestration.
Design equivalence testing frameworks to validate new vs. legacy workflows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Translate business strategy into scalable, technology-enabled solutionss.
Partner with analysts, data scientist, and AI engineers to guide enterprise-wide technical standards..
Who are you
6+ years leading SAP architecture and workflow design with a track record of transformation, not just maintenance
Expertise in SAP HANA schema design, performance tuning, and query optimization.
Strong experience with custom workflow development (ABAP, CDS views, and API integrations).
Proven ERP migration experience, preferably to and from SAP S/4HANA.
Proficiency in ETL tools, data modeling, and workflow orchestration.
Working knowledge of Generative AI and Agentic AI, and AI workflow integration.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Nice to have: SAP certifications (HANA, Workflow, or S/4HANA).cloud hosting experience (AWS, Azure, GCP), enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman) and familiarity with GDPR, CCPA)

Note: Distyl is a hybrid working environment and requires in-office collaboration 3 days a week. This role is available in our San Francisco location.
