Dewberry is currently seeking a Pennsylvania Regional Geotechnical Engineering Market Segment Leader in our Pittsburgh, Mechanicsburg, or Philadelphia Pennsylvania Offices. The ideal candidate will have 15 – 25 years of geotechnical engineering experience on PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC), and/or design-build projects. Applicants must have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively and cooperatively in groups.
The successful candidate will be part of a team designing geotechnical solutions for a wide variety of transportation projects including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, soil/rock anchors and embankments. The candidate will lead a team of professionals performing geotechnical field reconnaissance, preparing and administering boring contracts, performing geotechnical calculations, and preparing Geotechnical and Foundation Recommendation Reports. The candidate will also be involved in the development of proposals, contract plans, the preparation of engineer's estimates and construction specifications, and performing construction support services.
Experience is required in project management and budgeting, preparing technical and cost proposals, and understanding QA/QC procedures. The ideal applicant will have the experience and/or desire to market geotechnical engineering services. Applicants must possess their PE in PA and have experience working on projects across the Commonwealth.
