Skills
- Proficient in Java (Java 8 and Java 11)
- Experience with Hibernate (Hibernate-5) and other ORMs
- Familiarity with Spring Framework (Spring 5)
- Working knowledge of JDBC, Web Services (JAX-WS/JAX-RS), XML and JSON
- Experience with Docker/containerization and build tools (Maven)
- Familiarity with Git, unit testing frameworks (JUnit) and IDEs (Eclipse/VSCode)
- Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB)
- Understanding of OODD, SOA, microservices, and distributed architectures
- Comfortable working on both Windows and Linux environments
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement Java-based software and database applications for legacy and modernized systems
- Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, retrospectives, and release activities
- Collaborate closely with product teams, stakeholders, and end users to deliver high-quality features
- Create and maintain software engineering artifacts and support release planning
- Analyze complex technical problems and propose innovative, practical solutions
- Perform unit, integration, and regression testing to ensure product quality
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team
- Support CI/CD, build tooling, and assist with development process improvements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Relevant professional certifications or advanced degrees are a plus
