*Interdisciplinary team; you are able to collaborate with experts from developmental therapies such as music, speech, occupational, and physical therapies. *Supportive clinical director and a team of BCBAs; ongoing training and mentorship are provided in a variety of areas for a new BCBA. *Dedicated scheduling team. *State-of-the-art clinic with a variety of play and therapeutic equipment and resources. *Specialized programs including a preschool readiness program and social groups for adolescents. *School-based services option. *In theory, BIs receive weeks of training and are required to pass a competency exam, which helps them provide high-quality services. *Rich diversity in terms of staff backgrounds and culture.Cons
*Some of the typical issues from the ABA field, like BI turnover, however, there are BIs who have been 2 years or more at this location and they are working on ways to reduce turnover. *Work/life balance is going to depend on your driving distance and localization of cases. I would say it's positive for the majority of BCBAs. *Still working on developing a BCBA clinical ladder and PT curriculum, but it is in the works.At Cortica, values are what support our vision and mission and shape the culture.
