Skills
- 7+ years building backend applications with modern programming languages
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems and microservices
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and production operations
- Proficiency with modern data storage solutions (MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, etc.)
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and web development best practices
- Experience with performance tuning, reliability engineering, and scalability
- Ability to mentor and coach junior engineers and participate in code reviews
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and services that meet enterprise requirements
- Collaborate with engineers to build new features and enhance existing systems
- Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of backend infrastructure
- Participate in production operations and incident response on a rotational basis
- Conduct and provide constructive feedback during code reviews
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
- Partner with product, leadership, sales, and customers to understand requirements and UX
- Continuously improve planning, development, and deployment processes
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
