- Competency in urgent care/ED procedures: suturing, wound management, injections, immunizations
- Ability to interpret common diagnostics: x-ray, ECG, labs
- Proficient EMR and Microsoft Office skills
- Strong clinical documentation and compliance knowledge (HIPAA, OSHA)
- Leadership and mentoring skills for clinical staff
- Effective verbal and written communication with patients and team members
Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered assessments, histories, physical exams, and develop treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostics (x-rays, ECGs, labs) and perform therapeutic procedures (suturing, injections, wound care)
- Document care accurately in the EMR and maintain compliance with company and regulatory policies
- Act as clinical leader and mentor for new-grad providers and allied health staff; serve as preceptor
- Collaborate with clinic providers and staff to coordinate patient dispositions and transfers
- Maintain continuing education and participate in clinical quality and compliance activities
- Ensure clinic infection-control, safety, and regulatory compliance
Education
- Master's degree and certification from a PA certifying body
- Current, unrestricted DEA license
- BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross (in-person)
