Job Summary

Job Description

DUTIES: Provide technical leadership within a team responsible for developing Android mobile software using Android Studio, Kotlin, Java, and Gradle in an Agile Development environment; perform source control using Git and GitHub; develop software using Clean Architecture principles; perform multithreading using Coroutines within Kotlin; develop UI using Jetpack Compose; maintain project documentation using Confluence; manage development tasks using Jira; perform unit testing using Junit and mocking frameworks including MockK; analyze network traffic using Charles Proxy; execute unit tests using JUnit testing framework; support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications and roll-outs of software releases; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience developing Android mobile software using Android Studio, Kotlin, Java, and Gradle in an Agile Development environment; performing source control using Git and GitHub; developing software using Clean Architecture principles; performing multithreading using Coroutines within Kotlin; developing UI using Jetpack Compose; maintaining project documentation using Confluence; managing development tasks using Jira; performing unit testing using Junit and mocking frameworks including MockK; and analyzing network traffic using Charles Proxy.
