About the Role: As an Assistant Director of Nursing at Columbine Commons, you will:
Maintain diplomatic relations with residents, families, staff, and physicians while leading by example and facilitating a multidisciplinary approach to enhance care quality.
Monitor nursing competency, assess care quality, track and report data on wounds and pressure ulcers, and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and improvement plans.
Provide clinical evaluations, oversee admissions and discharges, monitor labs, and ensures proper immunization programs, including flu, pneumonia, and TB testing.
Update policies, stay current on long-term care trends, follow pharmacy consultant recommendations, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Participate in Medicare/IDT meetings, attend other designated committees, and compile and report data for Quality Improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
Must possess at a minimum a bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and possess a clear unencumbered license from the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse.
1+ years of related experience and/or training.
Knowledge of the aging process, dementia, and disabilities preferred.
Experience working with geriatric population in a long-term care facility, assisted living facility, or other related health care facility preferred.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of aging-related health issues, care practices, and standards specific to elderly residents.
Ability to lead, mentor, and manage nursing staff effectively while fostering teamwork and professional growth.
Familiarity with federal and state regulations governing geriatric care and long-term care facilities.
Proficiency in implementing and monitoring quality improvement programs to ensure high standards of care.
Strong ability to communicate with residents, families, staff, and interdisciplinary teams with empathy and clarity.

Our Total Rewards package includes a salary range of between $70,000 - $95,000/yr. DOE
