Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure
Skills
- 5+ years building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems
- Proficient in Go, C/C++, Java or another object-oriented language
- Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience building cloud infrastructure services and Kubernetes-based platforms
- Familiarity with service mesh or edge components (Envoy, Istio) and traffic routing
- Strong networking and security knowledge: VPNs, load balancers, firewalls, encryption
- Production debugging, observability, and performance optimization skills
Responsibilities
- Architect and build robust, highly available, and scalable distributed infrastructure for ClickHouse Cloud.
- Design, implement, and automate cloud resource management using IaC and cloud-native patterns.
- Collaborate closely with ClickHouse core DB, security, and product teams to deliver managed SaaS offerings.
- Develop routing, traffic, and networking components to enhance reliability and scalability.
- Design and implement security tooling and infrastructure: firewall, PKI, certificates, zero-trust networking.
- Improve performance and cost efficiency across multi-cloud, multi-region deployments.
- Apply distributed systems best practices to systematically improve availability and incident response.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced degree preferred but not required
